My favourite independant female singer is Liz Frazer, she done guest vocals on a massive attack song.

Teardrop

^^ thats the song.

2nd is Charlie Amadeo (sorry Charlie, if it wasnt for Liz you'd be first)

Paula - Yes it was a bit freaky. LOL
You may like Canadain songwriter Lynn Miles 'Little Seahorse' - this cut is about an expectant Mummy with a baby swimming around in her belly- 'Little seahorse, Swimming in a primal sea, Heartbeat like a Leaf quaking in the breeze…I love this song! LINK

I bought this as a fully illustrated Hardcover with an accompanied CD when I went to see Lucy Kaplansky in Basingstoke last April. Lucy performed 'Goodnight, My Angel' a cover of the Billy Joel track and I loved it. An album of lullabies sung by songwriters covering tracks written by famed songwriters. You can buy it as a Digipak CD which contains a PDF File. LINK
This will enable you to see all the illustrations, lyrics and credits as it shows in the hardback - Very clever idea!
One AMAZON Reviewer said this:
Our daughter, now 3 months old, has been soothed by this CD from birth. The singers all have beautiful relaxed voices, and the audio quality is superb. What's great is that adults can listen to it over and over without it getting tedious, unlike with many children’s' CD's. It's beautiful music, with top-notch folk singers, like Lucy Kaplansky and Guy Davis. It has become our favorite gift to other new parents like us.

Hi Ian
Did you get your Gretchen Peters Valentines card?
http://gretchenpeters.com:80/ecard/your-ecard
Its the first one I've ever had , but does an E-card count I Wonder?
I like a couple of Beth Rowley's songs.
Beth Neilson Chapman - Couldn't get into her Prism CD and drifted away from her music the last couple of years. I have all her other CD's , seen her 6 times live.
