| Paula I wasn't aware Ricks Seat goes back to March 2007? I've heard artists rave about this gig in London. Great applause and clapping at the end. For those of you who are lucky enough to have found love maybe you'd like to check this video out for Valentines aptly named Valentine from an artist I've been a fan of for over 30 years Nils Lofgren.
Its beautiful and rocks! See what you think? |

| If you Like SEFTON you may like : Choose this for Feb 14. I Hope you like the music of Dougie Maclean. This was filmed at TranAtlantic Sessions in Scotland in the 90's. Paula is this OK to keep this thread going with this "you may like" theme? I'm someone who likes to share artists. |

| I don't want to embed, but I recently discovered a cover of 'good friends are hard to find' and it was done by Phil Bridges. I believe the original artist is from Britain and Mr. Bridges is also from somewhere across the pond. Am I correct, Paula? _________________ Advice for the day- If you have a headache, do what it says on the aspirin bottle... Take two and keep away from children!

| I LOVE this band the Afterglow. Ive been a fan for over 2 years and finally they have booked a gig in Glasgow in May. I cant wait! They might be a bit noisy for some folk but I would urge you to listen to 'God's Excuses' on their MySpace www.myspace.com/theafterglowofficial This video is taken from the new album which is available for download for 1euro (or the equivelant in your country) until 2nd March. I love this band so much I had their logo tattoo'd on my person. |

| Hi Paula , Good Video , like the way its shot (Idea from Bohemian Rhapsody perhaps?) Their music blows away the cobwebs that for sure. Their myspace songs have great sound quality. The sort of band 6 Music or Radio 1 /2 should be promoting if they are not already? 'Before The Afternoon' I like this a lot , 'Call The Revolution' good stuff indeed. Will you playing 'Clown' on RED NOSE DAY! Thanks for the intro. Bet they ROCK live Just whereabouts is this LOGO on your person? LOL Your in their Top Friends List, yeah? Will you adding a Skimming Stones Tattoo? LOL Thats great you love Dougie Maclean. Do you go to Celtic Connections in Glasgow? What live venues do you go to in Scotland? |

| If MrS got himself a logo, a permanant one that he wont change through-out his musical career then HELL YES i'd get it tattoo'd on me! Can you guess which part of my body this tattoo is on Dougie MacLean played at our local theatre many many times, he liked playing there because he could join in the bar for drinks & not be hounded |

| Hi Paula The Photo is great So funny The only logo at the moment for Mr.S seems to be this one for your Left leg? I have posted both about Mr.S and The Afterglow on Radio 2 's Bob Harris Forum. The group are as good as any Indie bands he played last night. Why don't you try and recommend them to 6 Music ? http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/shows/tom_robinsons_introducing/recommend.shtml I'm jealous you have seen Dougie Maclean. He rarely seems to venture down to England apart from Cambridge Folk Festival . Nearest gig to me has been over 130 miles away. Some of his concert and 2 day events sound to be heavenly in those beautiful locations in Scotland. |

| Paula , I read on BBC TWO SCOTLAND yesterday they showed footage of Celtic Connection/ Transatlantic sessions. Did you see it, if so how long was it on for? I'm really pleased to find that the BBC have put up loads of video's from this on the Celtic Connection 2009 website! One is DOUGIE MacLean ! This is brilliant for me south of the border to get an appreciation of this wonderful feast of music! FULL ARTIST LISTING - http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/music/celticconnections/2009/artists/Seen as I posted about SEFTON on The Storys Message Forum I thought I'd share a video of theirs which I hope Mr.S fans will like? I got into their music last year via radio specials on Bob Harris & Radio Wales. I then saw them last September at The Half Moon in Putney ( A gig Sefton is down to play) It was an 'In The Round' show with a Canadian artist I'm a big fan of. It was a great night. Anyone else heard of or already a fan of The Storys? The Storys - Town Beyond The Trees |

| I recently heard a new (ish) artists just on his road up. Craig Jeffrey - another homegrown from the finest fibers. www.myspace.com/craigjeffrey I'm loving 'Hard To Say' on his MySpace and theres a song called 'Another Day Alone' which is the first song I ever heard him sing and it blew me away. I dont think that song is on his profile, its on his album. This is one of those singers that made me get off my chair and stare at the tv when he sang, I didnt catch his name but I knew the show that he was on so I emailed them to ask his name, not only did I get his name they sent me his cd. Result..! Anyway have a listen and see what ya think |
