Hey Paula!!!!
Awwww so sorry for being away from things .... been on holiday in France and Spain surfing and chilling and writing and drinking and reading and thinking and resting. Back now though with the batteries fully charged ('bout time!)
We didnt have a break last year what with the recording and all so this year we decided to take an extra long one. I kinda needed a good break to work out my next move and get my head straight. As you are probably only too well aware we have been surprisingly inactive so far this year, especially as we gently released the debut album in January but to be perfectly honest the cost and commitment I made to make the recording has been hard to manage so I was basically forced into going out and working the sound desks for others for quite a while to try and get us into a position where we can work less and play more. It's all a bit twisted really but that was what ended up happening.
We are now in the process of booking in live show dates in the UK and because of getting a fair amount of airplay in Europe looking for some dates there too. I guess we kind of see the first part of this year as a bit of a false, or at least slow, start and in many it was and so I think we need an album relaunch to get things moving along. We have an album review in Acoustic Guitar Magazine next month (which I have seen and is very favourable- phew!) and a few other bits and bobs in the pipeline.
So to summarise, phase one was the 'soft- launch' of the album. Phase two - get out there and play the thing! Phase three is obviously world domination and a range of Sefton dolls to be released in all good toy shops in time for Christmas!! How many shall I put you down for?
Hope you are well and look forward to hearing what you have been up to / listening to etc ....
Catch up soon
Sefton
PS .... have started work on the second album!
