Hi everyone
Its great to discover new artists. How did you find SEFTON's music which brought you here?
Was it perhaps through:
a) Myspace b) From a Radio play c) A Friends Recommendation
d) At a Gig

Now you've discovered SEFTON how do you plan to spread the word?
Even before the Internet became such a useful tool it is amazing what word of mouth does ?

I first heard of Sefton years ago, i'm trying to remember but it must be 3 or 4 years now, whenever James Blunt brought out his first cd... just checked it was october 2004 that album was released so it wasnt too long after that. Sefton was plugging himself on the forum. The first song I heard was skimming stones & fell in love with it immediately & Ive been hooked ever since.

As for spreading the word on Sefton I have done many things from blasting the cd in the car park of festivals to kidnapping small animals until their owners signed up.... Ok that last bit was a lie.... I will do whatever it takes to promote Sefton.

I prefer music I can feel as well as hear. I get both those from Sefton's music Cool

Is that how Sefton did it! Cheeky Chap! I really dislike Blunty's 2nd album - still like to play a couple of his songs on guitar though. Can't beat a bit of blunty if you need cheering up - all his songs are about death, war and lost love. I was feeling upbeat until I wrote this! Where are my blunty cds? lol!

Hi interesting how you find someone like that on a forum.
I posted about SEFTON on the Bob Harris Board. I'll have to redo it as they have lost the last 3 weeks posts aghhhhhhhh . Heard an artist interviewed who talked about James Blunt . Apparently he sent the same album with the same artwork 4 times to Radio land without any response then suddenly they liked him and he was being played everywhere. James was like why now, what was wrong with the 4 previous attempts? This sums up the way Radio works and what is suddenly "in" . Radio do not support enough new artists. They are too commerially driven and don't relish a poor ratings book so you hear the dozens of stations playing the same list of bankable tunes Sooooooooooo Boring - Radio 1 can drive you close to suicide ( I've been there! ) Also Radio are hung up on retro and covers fed by endless TV Talent show where original music is nowhere.

Let's hope that SEFTON's play On Radio Oxford found some new fans.

Ian how did you discover him?
